Receptor for Hyaluronate-Mediated Motility (RHAMM)

Target
RHAMM
Molecular classification
Receptor, Hyaluronan-binding protein, Intracellular protein, Microtubule-associated protein
01

Overview

The receptor for hyaluronate-mediated motility—commonly known as RHAMM/HMMR—is an evolutionarily conserved regulator involved both inside the cell (mitotic spindle function) and at the interface between cells/extracellular matrix where it mediates responses crucial to development, wound healing—and notably—invasion/metastasis across diverse tumor types through its interaction with hyaluronic acid.
