Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase C (CD45)

Target
CD45
Molecular classification
Receptor, Enzyme, Protein tyrosine phosphatase
01

Overview

CD45RC is an isoform of the protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type C (PTPRC), also known as CD45 or leukocyte common antigen (LCA). It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on all nucleated hematopoietic cells except erythrocytes and plasma cells. CD45RC plays a crucial role in regulating immune signaling by controlling phosphorylation states through its tyrosine phosphatase activity, essential for T-cell and B-cell activation. Its expression pattern helps distinguish immune cell subsets and is implicated in immunodeficiency and autoimmune diseases.
