Target intelligence / Profile preview
Reelin is a large, secreted extracellular glycoprotein that plays a critical role in brain development and function. It regulates neuronal migration, dendritic growth, synaptogenesis, and synaptic plasticity. Reelin signaling is essential for proper cortical layer formation, and disruptions are linked to several neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders.
Reelin binds to ApoER2 and VLDLR, triggering phosphorylation of Dab1 and activating Src family kinases, ultimately regulating cytoskeletal dynamics.
