RCC2P3, or Regulator of chromosome condensation 2 pseudogene 3, is a pseudogene and not a protein-coding gene. Pseudogenes are generally nonfunctional segments of DNA that resemble known genes but do not code for a functional protein product. There is no evidence in current biomedical literature or databases that RCC2P3 encodes an active protein, serves as a direct therapeutic target, or participates in disease mechanisms or drug interactions. It is related in sequence to RCC2 (Regulator of chromosome condensation 2), which is a functional gene involved in cell cycle regulation, but RCC2P3 itself lacks such activity. Given its pseudogene status and lack of evidence for a biological or pathological role, RCC2P3 is not considered a relevant molecular target for therapy or as a biomarker.
