Regulator of microtubule dynamics protein 1 (RMDN1) is a microtubule-associated protein that localizes to the cytoplasm in interphase and to spindle microtubules and spindle poles during mitosis[2][9]. It enables microtubule binding activity and is predicted to be involved in mitotic spindle organization and attachment of spindle microtubules to kinetochores, supporting critical roles in cell division[9][8]. The protein belongs to the family with sequence similarity 82 member B (FAM82B)[5]. There is currently no evidence in the literature to classify RMDN1 as a canonical therapeutic target, nor clear links to specific disease mechanisms, interacting drugs, or established safety concerns[9][2][8].
