None
Molecular classification
Cellular process, Immune regulation
01

Overview

Regulatory T-cell (Treg) induction refers to the process by which naïve or conventional CD4+ T cells differentiate into regulatory T cells, a specialized subset of immune cells that play a critical role in maintaining immune tolerance and preventing autoimmune responses. The hallmark of mature regulatory T cells is the expression of the transcription factor FOXP3, along with high levels of CD25 (the IL-2 receptor α chain).
