Regulatory T cell inhibition refers to therapeutic strategies aimed at blocking or suppressing the function of regulatory T cells (Tregs) to enhance immune responses, particularly in cancer immunotherapy. This approach seeks to overcome Treg-mediated immunosuppression, allowing for more effective anti-tumor immunity. However, it carries the risk of inducing or exacerbating autoimmune reactions due to the loss of immune tolerance.
