Target intelligence / Profile preview
A Regulatory T cell modulator refers to any molecule, drug, or biological agent that influences the function, number, or activity of regulatory T cells (Tregs). Tregs are a specialized subset of CD4+ T lymphocytes essential for maintaining immune homeostasis and self-tolerance by suppressing excessive immune responses and preventing autoimmunity. Modulating these cells can have therapeutic implications in autoimmune diseases, cancer, transplantation tolerance, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
Modulation of Treg function/activity/numbers via cytokines; checkpoint receptors; transcriptional regulation.
