Regulatory T Cell Response (Treg Response)

Target
Treg Response
Molecular classification
Immune cells, Lymphocytes, T cells
01

Overview

Regulatory T cells (Tregs) are a specialized subpopulation of T cells that play a critical role in modulating the immune system, maintaining tolerance to self-antigens, and preventing autoimmune disease. They act by suppressing or downregulating the activity of other immune cells, particularly effector T cells, thereby controlling both the magnitude and duration of immune responses.

Mechanism of action

Modulation of regulatory T cell numbers and/or function to either enhance or suppress immune responses. This can involve promoting Treg activity through cytokine stimulation or inhibiting Treg activity to boost anti-tumor immunity.
