Target intelligence / Profile preview
A regulatory T cell stimulant refers to any molecule, receptor, or agent that enhances the activity, proliferation, or function of regulatory T cells (Tregs). Tregs are a specialized subpopulation of CD4+ T lymphocytes critical for maintaining immune tolerance, preventing autoimmune disease, and modulating immune responses. Stimulation of Tregs has therapeutic potential for autoimmune diseases, allergic conditions and transplantation tolerance. However, inhibition of Treg function can be beneficial in cancer immunotherapy.
Enhances regulatory T cell activity, proliferation, or function through cytokine stimulation, antigen-specific stimulation, or targeting key signaling pathways.
