Retinoic Acid Receptor-Related Orphan Receptor Gamma (RORγ)

Target
RORγ
Molecular classification
Nuclear receptor, Transcription factor
01

Overview

RORγ is a nuclear receptor and transcription factor that plays a critical role in immune regulation, metabolism, and circadian rhythm. It is a master regulator of Th17 cell differentiation and is implicated in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. RORγ is also involved in the development of lymph nodes and Peyer’s patches, and regulates circadian genes. Due to its druggability, it is an emerging target for autoimmune diseases and cancer immunotherapy.
