Overview
The "RevCAR epitope" is a synthetic peptide tag—most often either “E5B9” or “E7B6”—derived from human La/SS-B protein sequences. It is displayed on engineered immune effector cells’ surfaces as part of advanced chimeric antigen receptor designs. Its primary function is enabling highly specific engagement with externally administered bispecific adaptors (RevTMs), allowing flexible redirection against diverse cancer targets with improved safety profiles compared to conventional direct-targeting CAR systems.
