RGPD4 divergent transcript (RGPD4-DT, also known as RGPD4-AS1 or RGPD4 antisense RNA 1) is a long non-coding RNA gene located head-to-head (divergently) relative to the RGPD4 protein-coding gene. It is annotated in genomic resources such as NCBI, Ensembl, BioGPS, and DECIPHER as a non-protein-coding, antisense transcript. As of current evidence, there is no published characterization of its molecular function, biological pathway involvement, disease association, or pharmacological targeting. It should not be conflated with the protein-coding RGPD4 gene, which is implicated in a small number of disease-related studies[4][6].
