Rho GTP-binding Protein (Rho GTPase)

Target
Rho GTPase
Molecular classification
Ras superfamily, Small GTPase
01

Overview

Rho GTPases are a subfamily of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases that act as molecular switches cycling between an inactive GDP-bound state and an active GTP-bound state. They regulate actin cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, adhesion, morphology, cell cycle progression, secretion, pinocytosis/endocytosis, transcriptional activation, and DNA synthesis initiation. Dysregulation is implicated in cancer, making them potential anti-cancer drug targets.
