Ribosomal protein L10a pseudogene 3 (RPL10AP3) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome located on chromosome 1, representing a non-functional retrocopy of the ribosomal protein L10a (RPL10A) parental gene. As a pseudogene, RPL10AP3 does not encode a functional protein and does not participate in protein synthesis, regulation, or disease. There is currently no evidence linking this pseudogene to any biological function, disease process, known biomarkers, or therapeutic relevance[5][6][12][15][16]. This target is a pseudogene, i.e., a DNA sequence similar to a gene but non-functional and not expressed as a protein in normal biology. It is not implicated in biological processes, molecular targeting, or disease roles reported to date. Its aliases (such as HsT23218) are database tracking names and not associated with a protein product[14]. Any therapeutic or diagnostic relevance would be extraordinary or purely speculative, and no drugs, biomarkers, or mechanisms of action are associated with it.
