Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein L17 pseudogene 29 (RPL17P29) is a non-coding genomic element classified as a processed pseudogene of the ribosomal protein L17 gene family in humans. Like most ribosomal protein pseudogenes, RPL17P29 does not produce a functional protein and is not known to play a biological role or be involved in any diseases or therapeutic processes[13][14]. Its sequence is retained in the genome as a result of gene duplication followed by mutations that prevent protein-coding function.
No mechanism of drug action applies as the pseudogene is not an active target.
