Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein L17 pseudogene 36 (RPL17P36) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome and does not encode a functional protein. It originated from the ribosomal protein L17 gene (RPL17), which encodes a structural component of the 60S ribosomal subunit, but RPL17P36 itself is a non-functional copy, lacking the ability to produce a ribosomal protein or participate directly in ribosomal assembly or protein synthesis[13][4][11]. There is no established biological function, disease association, or druggability for this pseudogene.
