Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein L19 pseudogene 7 (RPL19P7) is a processed pseudogene related to the functional RPL19 gene, which encodes a cytoplasmic ribosomal protein belonging to the L19E family of ribosomal proteins[2][5][8][11]. As a pseudogene, RPL19P7 does not encode a functional product and is generally considered to be transcriptionally inactive. Pseudogenes such as RPL19P7 are remnants of gene duplication or retrotransposition events and are dispersed throughout the genome, but they lack established biological or pathogenic roles and are not considered druggable or relevant in therapeutic development[2][4][11].
