Ribosomal protein L21 pseudogene 34 (RPL21P34) is one of several processed genomic copies (pseudogenes) related to the RPL21 gene, which encodes a structural component of the large 60S ribosomal subunit for protein synthesis. These pseudogenes are common for ribosomal protein genes; however, RPL21P34 is not itself translated into a functional protein and lacks known biological roles, therapeutic relevance, or molecular interactions in current biomedical research. It may be annotated in genetic analyses or genomic databases, but is not considered a drug target or involved in human pathophysiology[1][5][6].
