Ribosomal protein L21 pseudogene 41 (RPL21P41) is one of many processed pseudogenes derived from the functional ribosomal protein L21 (RPL21) gene. Pseudogenes such as RPL21P41 are DNA sequences that resemble functional genes but harbor disabling mutations which prevent them from encoding functional proteins.
