Overview

Ribosomal protein L21 pseudogene 45 (RPL21P45) is a processed pseudogene found in the human genome.[2] It does not encode a functional protein and is not transcribed or translated into a product with known biological activity. Like other pseudogenes derived from ribosomal protein genes, it is the result of gene duplication and subsequent loss of coding potential. As such, RPL21P45 does not participate in cellular pathways, disease mechanisms, or drug responses. Information about biological function, disease involvement, drug interaction, or safety concerns pertains only to the protein-coding RPL21 gene and not to its pseudogenes.[1][2][5]
