While numerous RPL23A pseudogenes exist in the genome, including RPL23AP36, they do not produce functional proteins and are not considered drug targets or biomarkers. There is no evidence for a biological role of RPL23AP36 in disease, nor interaction with drugs, and it does not possess structural or mechanistic properties relevant to therapeutic targeting[1][6].
