Ribosomal protein L29 pseudogene 14 (RPL29P14) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome, named for its homology to the functional ribosomal protein gene RPL29. Pseudogenes such as RPL29P14 are similar in sequence to protein-coding genes but usually do not encode functional proteins due to mutations, truncations, or lack of regulatory elements needed for expression.
