Target intelligence / Profile preview
RPL3P6 (ribosomal protein L3 pseudogene 6) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome derived from the active ribosomal protein L3 gene (RPL3)[2][7][9]. Pseudogenes like RPL3P6 do not produce functional proteins and are remnants of gene duplication or retrotransposition events[8]. While the parental RPL3 gene encodes a key ribosomal protein involved in translation for the large 60S subunit, the pseudogene has no known biological function, clinical role, or therapeutic relevance[2][8][9].
