Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein L31 pseudogene 19 (RPL31P19) is a processed pseudogene related to the functional ribosomal protein L31 gene (RPL31). Unlike the active RPL31 gene, which encodes a structural component of the large 60S ribosomal subunit important for protein synthesis, RPL31P19 does not encode a functional protein and is not known to have a biological or disease role. The presence of multiple pseudogenes like RPL31P19 is typical for ribosomal protein families. RPL31P19 is not considered a drug target, biomarker, or therapeutic entity.
