Overview

Ribosomal protein L32 pseudogene 11 (RPL32P11) is a human processed pseudogene related to the RPL32 gene, which encodes the ribosomal protein L32, a structural component of the large 60S ribosomal subunit[1][3][6]. Pseudogenes like RPL32P11 result from the duplication or retrotransposition of functional genes but have lost the ability to encode a protein due to accumulated mutations—such as lack of introns and/or early stop codons[2][1]. RPL32P11 does not produce a functional ribosomal protein, is not known to regulate other genes, and lacks a role in disease or therapy. It is one of several RPL32-related pseudogenes found throughout the human genome[1][2]. No drugs, biomarkers, or mechanisms of drug action are associated with RPL32P11.
