Ribosomal protein L32 pseudogene 14 (RPL32P14) is a processed pseudogene related to the ribosomal protein L32 gene (RPL32). It is part of a family of pseudogenes derived from RPL32, which encodes a component of the cytoplasmic 60S ribosomal subunit involved in protein synthesis[1][9]. RPL32P14 does not encode a functional protein and has no known biological or pathological role. Its presence is typical of processed pseudogenes in the human genome, likely arising by retrotransposition and duplication mechanisms. Unlike its parental gene, RPL32P14 does not have known functions or associations with human diseases and is not a drug target[1][2][3][9].
