Target intelligence / Profile preview
RPL35AP15 (ribosomal protein L35a pseudogene 15) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome related to the ribosomal protein L35a (RPL35A) gene, but it does not encode a functional protein and has no established molecular or therapeutic role. It is named as a pseudogene because it shares sequence similarity with the ribosomal protein L35a but lacks the ability to produce a functional ribosomal protein. As is common for ribosomal protein genes, multiple processed pseudogenes exist across the genome, but these do not contribute to ribosomal structure or function.
