Target intelligence / Profile preview
RPL35AP30 (ribosomal protein L35a pseudogene 30) is a human processed pseudogene formed by retrotransposition and is related to the functional RPL35A gene, which encodes a ribosomal protein component of the 60S subunit involved in protein synthesis. Unlike its functional counterpart, RPL35AP30 does not encode a functional protein, is not expressed as a protein, and has no established biological or therapeutic function[1][3][4]. Pseudogenes like RPL35AP30 are generally non-functional remnants in the genome and are not used as therapeutic targets in medicine.
