Ribosomal protein L36a pseudogene 32 (RPL36AP32) is a pseudogene in the human genome and is not known to encode a functional protein product[1][6][7]. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but typically nonfunctional due to mutations or truncations that prevent normal gene expression or translation[6][9]. RPL36AP32 is related by sequence to the functional ribosomal protein L36a gene but is considered noncoding, and there are no known biological functions, disease associations, or interactions with drugs documented for this sequence[6][7]. There are no data supporting its consideration as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or involvement in pathological processes[6][7].
