Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein L36a pseudogene 36 (RPL36AP36) is a processed pseudogene of the ribosomal protein L36a gene, and not a functional gene or protein-coding therapeutic target. RPL36AP36 is a processed, non-protein-coding pseudogene on human chromosome 15. It is a retrocopy (retrotransposed duplicate) of the functional RPL36A gene. RPL36AP36 does not encode a functional protein and has no known biological functions, disease associations, or therapeutic significance. It is one of many processed pseudogenes of ribosomal protein genes dispersed throughout the human genome.
