Ribosomal protein L37 pseudogene 11 (RPL37P11) is one of many processed pseudogenes related to the gene encoding ribosomal protein L37, a structural component of the 60S subunit of ribosomes. Pseudogenes like RPL37P11 arise from duplication or retrotransposition events of parent ribosomal protein genes, and they do not produce a functional protein product.
