Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein L37 pseudogene 25 (RPL37P25) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome related to the functional ribosomal protein L37 gene (RPL37). Pseudogenes are gene sequences that closely resemble functional genes but are typically non-functional due to mutations or the absence of regulatory elements required for expression. There are many such pseudogenes for ribosomal proteins dispersed throughout the genome. RPL37P25 does not produce a functional protein product and is not considered a therapeutic or pharmacological target[1][3][6].
