Target intelligence / Profile preview
RPL39P41 (Ribosomal protein L39 pseudogene 41) is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 22. It is one of many processed pseudogenes related to the ribosomal protein L39 (RPL39), which is itself a component of the 60S ribosomal subunit involved in protein synthesis[7][1]. Like other pseudogenes, RPL39P41 resembles the original protein-coding gene (RPL39) at the DNA level but does not encode a functional protein or product. Pseudogenes are generally remnants of former genes and typically do not have an active biological or pathological function. There is no evidence or annotation supporting a role for RPL39P41 as a drug or therapeutic target in humans[7][6].
