RPL39P6 (ribosomal protein L39 pseudogene 6) is a pseudogene derived from the ribosomal protein L39 gene (RPL39)[1]. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but are non-functional; they typically lack the ability to encode a functional protein, often due to mutations or lack of regulatory elements. RPL39P6 does not code for any protein and is not known to have any biological or therapeutic functions[1][6]. It is neither a receptor, enzyme, transporter, nor otherwise considered a druggable or disease-associated target. There are no known associated diseases, biological functions, or known drugs that interact with RPL39P6. Its only relevance is as a genomic remnant resulting from the duplication or retrotransposition of the functional RPL39 gene[1][6].
