Overview

Ribosomal protein L4 pseudogene 3 (RPL4P3) is classified as a processed pseudogene, related to the protein-coding gene for ribosomal protein L4, a component of the large (60S) ribosomal subunit. Unlike protein-coding genes, RPL4P3 does not encode a functional protein and is not considered a therapeutic target. While related ribosomal protein pseudogenes such as RPL4P4 have been studied for possible regulatory roles or as prognostic biomarkers in certain cancers, there is no evidence that RPL4P3 is itself expressed or involved in disease biology or drug response[1][8]. There are no drugs or targeted therapies that interact with RPL4P3, and it does not have established biological or pathological roles.
