Overview

Ribosomal protein L41 pseudogene 1 (RPL41P1) is a processed pseudogene of the *RPL41* gene, which encodes a component of the large 60S ribosomal subunit[9][2][11]. Unlike the functional *RPL41* gene, pseudogenes such as RPL41P1 generally do not encode active proteins, lack function, and are not involved in any known disease mechanisms or drug interactions. No evidence supports therapeutic targeting or a biological role for this pseudogene. Pseudogenes are often formed by duplication or retrotransposition events and can be used as markers in genomic studies, but are generally not the focus of drug discovery or clinical monitoring[9][2][11].
