Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein L5 pseudogene 18 (RPL5P18) is a non-coding processed pseudogene related to the ribosomal protein L5 gene. It does not encode a functional protein product and is not considered a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other therapeutic target. There is no evidence that RPL5P18 plays a direct role in any biological process or disease, and it is not implicated in drug interactions or therapeutic strategies. RPL5P18 is distinct from the actual RPL5 gene, which encodes a protein component of the ribosome with biological and disease relevance. The pseudogene (RPL5P18) should not be confused with the functional gene (RPL5). There are no reported functions, disease roles, or clinical utility associated with RPL5P18.
