RPL7L1 pseudogene 12 is a processed pseudogene in the human genome related to the ribosomal protein L7 like 1 gene[5][6]. Like other ribosomal protein pseudogenes, it does not produce a functional protein and is not involved in canonical ribosomal or cellular activities. Pseudogenes may be transcribed and, in rare cases, play regulatory roles at the RNA level, but there is no evidence for RPL7L1P12 functioning as a therapeutic target or biomarker.
