Ribosomal protein L7 pseudogene 34 (RPL7P34) is a non-functional, processed pseudogene of the ribosomal protein L7 gene. Pseudogenes are gene sequences that resemble functional genes but have lost their protein-coding ability due to mutations or lack of regulatory elements. RPL7P34 does not encode a functional protein and has no direct role in cellular function, disease, or drug targeting. Many ribosomal protein genes, including RPL7, have multiple pseudogenes scattered throughout the genome[1][4][6].
