**Ribosomal protein L7 pseudogene 4 (RPL7P4)** is a processed pseudogene of the ribosomal protein L7 gene, found in the human genome[4][8][6]. Like other ribosomal protein pseudogenes, it arises from retrotransposition events and does not encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes such as RPL7P4 generally lack biological activity and are not transcribed into a functional protein product. The parental gene, RPL7, encodes a member of the ribosomal large 60S subunit, but the pseudogene itself is not involved in ribosome biogenesis, cellular processes, disease, or pharmacological targeting[4][5][3]. RPL7P4 is not considered a clinical or therapeutic target, nor is there evidence for functional involvement in disease or drug interactions.
