Ribosomal protein L7 pseudogene 41 (*RPL7P41*) is a **pseudogene**—an inactive genomic sequence similar to the functional gene *RPL7*, which encodes ribosomal protein L7, a component of the large subunit (60S) of eukaryotic ribosomes. Pseudogenes like *RPL7P41* do not encode functional proteins and do not take part in biological processes such as protein synthesis. There is no evidence that *RPL7P41* is a direct therapeutic target or is involved in any disease mechanism or drug interaction[4]. The functional counterpart, *ribosomal protein L7*, participates in ribosome-mediated protein biosynthesis, but the pseudogene does not contribute to these biological functions[2][5].
