RPLP0P3, or ribosomal protein lateral stalk subunit P0 pseudogene 3, is a processed pseudogene related to the functional gene RPLP0, which encodes a ribosomal protein of the large 60S ribosomal subunit[1][3]. Unlike active protein-coding genes, pseudogenes such as RPLP0P3 do not produce functional proteins and are generally considered nonfunctional genomic elements. There is no evidence that RPLP0P3 serves as a therapeutic target, possesses biological functions, or has a disease association on its own.
