Ribosomal protein S10 pseudogene 29 (RPS10P29) is a human pseudogene located in the genome. It is a non-functional genetic element derived from the ribosomal protein S10 gene (RPS10), and does not produce a functional protein. Pseudogenes such as RPS10P29 are common remnants of protein-coding genes and are typically non-coding; they are not considered receptors, enzymes, or drug targets. There are no known biological functions, disease associations, or pharmacological interventions for RPS10P29. RPS10P29 is a processed pseudogene and is not equivalent to or a substitute for the protein-coding RPS10 gene, which has important cellular and disease-associated functions. Therapeutic targeting of this pseudogene is not supported by any scientific literature or drug databases. Its role in research might be limited to genomics or pseudogene expression studies, but there is no evidence for a functional or pathogenic role. This pseudogene entry should not be confused with the active Ribosomal protein S10 (RPS10).
