Ribosomal protein S11 pseudogene 6 (RPS11P6) is a processed pseudogene related to the functional ribosomal protein S11 gene, which encodes a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit responsible for protein synthesis[1][5]. Like other pseudogenes, RPS11P6 is a non-functional genomic element that has sequence similarity to a protein-coding gene but lacks the ability to encode a functional protein[10].
