Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein S13 pseudogene 4 (RPS13P4) is a processed pseudogene related to the ribosomal protein S13 (RPS13) gene. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but are non-functional; they arise through duplication or retrotransposition of functional genes. RPS13P4 does not encode a protein, is not expressed as a functional transcript, and has no known biological or disease association. It is one of several pseudogenes related to ribosomal protein genes dispersed throughout the human genome[2].
