Ribosomal protein S15a pseudogene 34 (RPS15AP34) is a processed pseudogene and not a protein-coding gene. It is one of many non-functional copies in the human genome derived from the ribosomal protein S15a gene (RPS15A). These pseudogenes arise through retrotransposition and typically do not produce functional proteins. While some pseudogenes can act as regulatory RNAs or compete for microRNAs, there is currently no evidence that RPS15AP34 has any biological function or clinical significance. It is not considered a therapeutic target, and there are no known drugs, disease associations, or safety concerns linked to this pseudogene[1][3][6][7][2][4].
