Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein S27 pseudogene 14 (RPS27P14) is a processed pseudogene related to the ribosomal protein S27 gene family in humans[4]. Pseudogenes are non-functional genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but generally non-coding and without demonstrated biological activity. RPS27P14 does not encode a functional protein and there is no evidence it is expressed or has any biological, disease, or therapeutic relevance. Therefore, it is not considered a therapeutic target, biomarker, or otherwise functional molecular entity[4]. It is one of many RPS27-related pseudogenes scattered throughout the genome.
