There are no known biological functions, disease associations, or drug interactions related to RPS27P23 itself. The parent RPS27 gene has roles in ribosome function, nucleic acid binding, and is implicated in oncogenesis, but the pseudogene RPS27P23 is not functionally characterized nor clinically relevant.
