Ribosomal protein S27 pseudogene 9 (RPS27P9) is a processed pseudogene of the human ribosomal protein S27 gene. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but typically non-functional; they do not encode active proteins, and thus do not produce a gene product that can act as a therapeutic target, nor do they participate in molecular or cellular functions.
